I'd just like to start out by pointing out how frickin' great the weather was today. Now that was my kind of weather. Right around 70-75°f, sunny, but with pretty big white puffy clouds in the sky to make it something other than boring blue.

I got some good news and some bad news today regarding my health. Good news is that my teeth are healing fine, no dry sockets! Booya. I'm a winner. The bad news sort of outweighs the good in this case, though. I'm gonna have to have surgery on BOTH of my shoulders. The doctor said they're both messed up pretty bad and surgery would be the best thing to prevent me from screwing up my arms even worse.

SO. Apparently it takes a night in the hospital, 4-5 days out of commission, another 5 or so weeks in a sling, and then another 6 weeks of physical therapy to get my arms functioning correctly again. And this is PER ARM. I guess they only do one arm at a time. So we're talking about 6 months of time where I won't have both my arms in tip-top shape! =\ Not that they are now, but at least I don't have a sling/rehab to worry about. So that is some pretty bad news.

In case you hadn't noticed, I've been updating the "writings" section with a few new writings. I'll be doing this as often as I have something I want to write, so be sure to check back often!

Phew. Been another rough week already! Got home (to parents' house) on sunday night only to mess up my shoulder skating yet again. But this time, I wasn't so fortunate! My spill left me with a dislocated shoulder -- that's right, this time it didn't want to go back into place on its own. Apparently I've actually dislocated my shoulders 4 times since thursday, but this one wasn't as forgiving =\

So I had a trip to the E.R. so the Dr. could put my arm back into socket, which was pretty lame/discouraging considering I had to get my teeth pulled at 9am the next morning. But everything worked out and getting my teeth pulled turned out to be pretty easy. Stayed at home eating soup/pudding/drinking for the past 2 days, pretty easy stuff.

Anyways, I'm back now, and my cheeks are pretty swollen. I feel fine though, but I'm gonna have to stay in my room hermit-style until these things go back down. I look like a charicature!

Alright...I'll be gone for at least 24-48 hours (if not more). I'm visiting the oral surgeon to have some procedures done on my mouth. Translation: wisdom teeth = getting pulled. So I'll be laying around by myself eating jello and watching movies for the next couple of days. Call me or come visit me! ;)

Back in around 2 days, but definitely asap. Out.

I'm back. Got home around 10:00pm, been doing "nothing" ever since. The trip, for those who want to know, was amazing, just as I had hoped. My goal to do a lot of new things went pretty well. We skated Vans indoor skatepark, and, after messing up both of my shoulders pretty hard (like I had to carry my really injured right arm around with my sorta injured left arm because I couldn't move the right one at all), I decided a few things about skating.

Namely: I'm done skating the pool/park discipline. I'm not motivated enough to do it, and to me it's not worth any more serious injury. Also, I've decided to cut way back on my longboard collection and sell off all the ones I don't use (all except two). Because I bought a new deck when I was in S.F., the only deck that you guys know of that I currently plan on keeping is the Mummy. The Chief has already sold, and the rest have got to go as well.

San Francisco night-life was a lot of fun. We tried out a lot of new things we'd never really done before, and I was incredibly surprised at how much fun I had doing things I never thought I could enjoy.

All in all, it was a great trip. It provided me an excellent time away from everything that's been going on around here. It got me to try some new things, and have a lot of memorable experiences. And now, back to the harshness of real life.

Today's the big day. The vacation that I've been waiting for. My first time to go out and PARTY (I'm using this term pretty loosely), with no regard to anyone but myself and having a good time. Booya. San Francisco, I hope you're ready. At least I left you with something pretty (my site! obviously) to look at until I get back in a few days. Talk to you later, and wish me luck!

Welcome to the all-new L-Dawg Online! Over the past several weeks I have been working hard to improve the layout and usability, as well as overall look of the site. I want to run a site that I enjoy updating, and I really didn't before. Hopefully a friendlier layout will keep me caught up on more of the articles I'd like to write. Knowing my level of motivation, though, probably not. But one can hope!
