I was looking at my visitor location map yesterday and noticed that I didn’t have any new visitors since the first of the month. Interesting, considering the traffic over at o:e has gone way up since around then. Turns out the code that tracks who visits my site comes along with the theme, which, as you’ll remember, changed for L-Dawg Online at the beginning of the month. So I used the option:explicit theme on ldawg.com, and the theme contained the same code as the stuff on option:explicit. So o:e was recording hits from ldawg.com AND o:e. Does that make sense? Anyways, it’s fixed.
Oh, by the way, I added a few new links for you guys to check out.
Ok, I missed it on Wednesday again. Maybe I’ll get back on track again next week. Here is the word:

I’d really like to be posting more, but as it turns out I have very little free time. Probably less than I’ve ever had in my life, in fact. Here was my week: read more ยป
Ok I forgot on Wednesday, so let’s do it on Saturday instead:

My computer has been giving me some problems lately. A lot of problems, actually. It would just randomly lock up, especially if it had been turned off. Now you may be thinking “oh that happens to me all the time, it’s no big deal.” But it is to me. Partially because my computer is like my lifeline, and another because I spend a lot of time fixing other peoples’ computers, and would just like to come home to one that works right. It turns out I had a faulty power supply (the part of the computer that the power cord from the wall plugs into) and I’ll be getting a replacement for it later this week or maybe next week. Until then, I’m “renting” one from Staples. Thanks, Staples.
Next: my weekend. It was nice to have a few days off. I think I’m definitely going to cherish them more and more this term as I’m going to have pretty grueling weeks with school, internships, therapy, and work. Ugh. I didn’t do much, but I did build a computer system for someone that I’ll be delivering tomorrow. It’s a pretty darn nice machine.
And lastly, my thumb. So I was cleaning my keyboard (does nobody else do this?) and was removing keys so I could clean each one. While popping one of them off, my thumb slipped and got jammed and bent my thumbnail back. And it hurt, and there was blood coming out from all along the edge under my nail! I think it was the most painful sensation I’ve felt in…yeah. A long time. But I didn’t cry!
I’m in a writing class on Tuesday nights from 7-10 called Short Story Writing. It’s cool because I didn’t have to take the pre-req; I sent the professor a sample of writing that I did a long time ago and he thought it was good enough to let me in.
But here’s the good part: first of all, the dude kept making references to the pre-requisite class that I hadn’t taken as if it were absolutely vital to my success in this class. Great. Then he made three or four references to famous authors and asked “who had read them.” Oh, man. My hand isn’t going up unless he mentions Michael Crichton. He probably won’t.
I have some fun stuff to talk about from my first day back at school (yesterday) but I’ll hold off on that ’till later. It’s Amber’s Free Association Wednesday (AFAW) again! That’s what I’m going to start calling it, by the way, since I stole the idea from her blog. Today’s word will be….
Smooth

Amber, it doesn’t work. You have to have the creative type reading your blog in order to play the game. I just don’t think my readers are that type. Regardless, let’s pick a word…
DREAMY

Thanks Amber.
Back from California, and my visitor, sadly, is gone too. So now I’m back, and Austin took off for Hawaii, so there aren’t a lot of people around! As you can see I changed the theme of my site to one I prefer after working it over at o:e. I’ll work on editing it somewhat to have more of a unique look and whatnot over the next few days, but overall it is a much cleaner theme technically as well as visually in my opinion.
