Can hammered mean other stuff than drunk? I think it can — for example, remember my short story I wrote last week? It got hammered at workshop this evening. Granted, I was tired to begin with, but I definitely didn’t feel like anyone liked it. I wasn’t offended really, just…well I lost motivation to edit it. There was so much editing suggested that I just don’t really feel like doing it now. That’s ok, it’s not required.
Also, I’m so freakin’ tired! I got a full 8 hours last night, I think something is really wrong with me. Probably it’s the fact that I HATE school and everything about it. Never in my life have I dreaded being somewhere so much every single day. I can’t wait ’til it’s over.
I like my phone, I like my cat. I like that my phone can take pictures of my cat and me together, awww…
I also have had a strange motivation to post on my blog and whatnot more the past few days. How long this will last, I have no idea. So we’ll just see how it goes, I guess. The sexier the articles and content, the sexier the readers, right?
By the way, I was thinking about ways to motivate myself to post more regularly. Since the reason that I don’t post is often that I don’t have anything to say (and no one gives a crap about standard stuff I did all day), I need entertaining content that’s not too difficult to come up with. So I was thinking, I might do something like Amber’s Free Association Wednesday every day. Not exactly the same, but maybe like trivia tuesdays, “What ifs” on the weekends, etc.
What do you think? Sound stupid? I haven’t quite decided yet…

I’m taking a short story class in which you have to write two short stories throughout the term. My first one was terrible, admittedly, but I think my second one turned out a bit better. I actually put a little more effort into it, so I’m calling it my first instead. Feel free to read it and let me know how YOU think it turned out. I’d appreciate any comments you have regarding plot, characters, punctuation/grammar, etc.! It’s Wednesday. That means it’s time for another AFAW, not that any of you seem to care. At all. Thanks for that, by the way, I realize it’s difficult to participate in these ridiculously tough activities that I provide. So here’s the word:

Alright, so leave a comment telling me the first thing that came to your mind when you read that word…
So there’s this sticker that I’ve been seeing on paper towel dispensers on campus that proclaims “Drunk Sex ≠ Consensual Sex.” It goes on to talk about how “just because you don’t say ‘no’ doesn’t mean it’s consensual.” Woah, really? That pretty ridiculous, because how is one supposed to differentiate between consensual and non-consensual sex? Apparently if you’re drinking, it’s hard to tell. Apparently you no longer have to say “no” to make it non-consensual, either. Is it just me or is this line between consensual and non-consensual blurry beyond belief? I think America may need to implement some sort of pre-sex contract that must be signed by both parties (drunk or not) that states the terms of conditions of that particular sexual encounter, just to be safe.
Here’s an idea: don’t get drunk enough to not know what you’re doing. Crazy, I know, but maybe people who are getting so trashed that they don’t know who they are having sex with need to be a little more careful in the first place, right?
I find it pretty sad that these stickers had to be conceived at all.
