For some reason, girls seem very materialistic to me lately. More now than ever. It seems like it's gotten worse over the past year or two. Come on, I'm not saying that guys are perfect either. But I realize I absolutely couldn't put up with some of the tendencies of a lot of modern females. What's the deal? Maybe it's just a college thing. It's an age of Louis Vuitton and Abercrombie and Fitch.
I have to admit - a good portion of the time the women who like this high-roller stuff are the most attractive females. I always have to think twice, though: "too high-maintenance for me!"
Right, I am sure I am shallow and am stereotyping every girl who carries a Vuitton purse and everything, but how do you expect to come off? $300 for a purse is way too much. In fact, I feel like I couldn't have a relationship with someone who blew hundreds of dollars per shopping session on clothes and accessories. I feel like I'd never be up to par with your spending habits (if we even got along in the first place).
Judgmental? Yeah, I guess it is. Maybe I just need some girls to prove me wrong. Although I don't see how you could wear hundreds of dollars of clothes (in one outfit) and tell me you weren't high-maintenance.
By the way, what is up with those pointy high-heel shoes everyone (and by everyone I mean girls) are wearing with jeans lately? I have to tell every female who wears them: I hope they didn't cost much, because they're just plain UGLY. These are like my number one pet-peeve in the "fashion world."
Just what type of guys do you hope to attract by wearing this high-roller gear? Guys who wear similar high-roller gear? Guys attracted to money and brand names? Is it just an internal competition between females to look better than each other?
I guess pop-culture really takes a toll on people. We see all these "bling-blingers" every day in movies, on TV, and even just down at the local mall. Is that what girls are striving for? I simply cannot get a grasp on WHY someone would want a.say.Louis Vuitton purse. Could someone please explain it to me? And don't say "because they're cute," because lets be honest: the Louis Vuitton " LV " print is the most ass-ugly thing I've ever seen (well, up there with those pointy shoes). I guess ole' Louis did something right to get people wanting the stuff.
And Abercrombie? I'll tell you what A+F stores are good for. Take out all the clothes and shelves, add a disco ball, turn down the music a bit, and you'd have a great dance club. Oh yeah, rock on Abercrombie (just kidding, you suck). I'll rip and stain my OWN clothes, thank you very much.
I like girls who look great without all the huge logos and name brands. Let's have more of those.
Ok, that's about all.
